Throwbot 2 (TB2)

The Throwbot® 2 (TB2) robot is a throwable micro-robot platform that enables the operator to obtain instant video and audio detection in indoor or outdoor environments. Designed to withstand repeated drops of up to 30 feet (9 m) onto concrete, the Throwbot® 2 robot can be thrown into dangerous situations so that users can quickly make the right informed decisions in seconds. The Throwbot 2 microrobot (basic version) is designed to crawl on different terrains and overcome obstacles up to 5 cm high. Optional conversion kits are available. They give the Throwbot® 2 robot the ability to climb obstacles up to 10cm high or carry and tow a combined 1.8kg of weight using integrated mounting points or Picatinny rails. After activation, the robot can be immediately made to move through the area and transmit in real time:

These reconnaissance features can detect and identify dangerous elements, confirm the presence of hostages and discover the layout of a room. When used in conjunction with the Recon Scout® SearchStick™, it can also function as a camera to facilitate the inspection of attics, roofs, and otherwise inaccessible spaces.
