Steiner

1947 Karl Steiner started a one-man workshop in Bayreuth, Germany, with dismantled infrastructures and a shattered economy, with one goal in mind: to make optical products functional, durable and flawless so that there would be nothing comparable in a chaotic world. His passion for optical perfection led Steiner-Optik 50-head factory through a difficult year of creation and soon became a global optics icon, producing binoculars and rifle sights for every purpose.

These German optics are now available in 65 countries, valued by athletes and spectators, birdwatchers and sailors, pilots and explorers. Optics are used by security and the military around the world. Bayreuth’s research, development and production site is arguably the most advanced optics plant in the world. Steiner’s world-class lenses, coatings and prisms have been designed and refined in Germany to withstand the industry’s toughest manufacturing, inspection, testing and approval process. The lenses alone go through 460 different steps in their production. Specially made and uniquely multi-layered lenses are assembled into special binoculars and optical sights, after which they are inspected, tested and re-approved for sale. Since the last review, each Steiner optics offers the most reliable, accurate, and rewarding viewing experience in its category.

Steiner was the first to develop

  • Lightweight, indestructible rubber armored Makrolon® body
  • Fog resistance guaranteed by nitrogen in all conditions,
  • Military laser protection filter
  • Integrated binoculars / compass
  • Water-repellent Nano-Protection® lenses
  • Continuously Renewable – Coating Technologies

Steiner is also the first developer of optoelectronics with an international-class digital compass binoculars and an integrated binocular laser rangefinder. Steiner’s hardened ability in the fight is a legend all over the world. No optics has proven itself in so many difficult environments and critical situations. When Steiner says it’s fog-proof, waterproof, and shock-resistant, it’s sincere and forever: anywhere, anytime, every time.

About the Sights

Anti-Reflection Coatings
for light transmission to ensure optimal performance in low light.

Optimized Exterior Design
with larger, positive grip elevation, windage, parallax and illumination knobs and nonslip diopter and magnification adjustment

Illuminated Reticle
with seven night and four day levels with two “OFF” positions at each end, and quick standby levels between each for fast return setting.

Optimized Tube and Knob Configuration
for more mounting options and optimum performance with different rifles and added equipment. Precise

Windage/Elevation Adjustment
is easy and accurate for repeated accuracy, with tactile click-by-click feedback you can hear and feel.

Waterproof/Fogproof
durable construction you can trust to stand up to any cold or wet condition. Waterproof to depths of 33 feet.

Shockproof
and rugged enough to withstand impact testing to 900 Gs on all optical and electronic components.

About Binoculars

Floating Prism System
uses flexible silicone lens mount to absorb severe shock, impact and abuse without damage

Multi-Coated Optics
are state-of-art for brighter picture, higher contrast and sharply contoured images with natural color definition.

Sports-Auto Focus™ System
lets you focus each eyepiece to your vision once, then keeps images razor sharp from 20 yards to infinity. No more chasing focus on moving objects.

N2 Injection™ system
seals 14-psi pressurized dry nitrogen into the optic, for fogproof clarity in any condition – from artic cold to desert heat.

Cylindrical Eyecups
shield the eyes from sun, grit and wind, and can be folded down for viewing with sunglasses or gas masks. NBR Rubber Armoring is durable, slip-proof and noiseless to ensure secure, chassis protecting grip in all conditions.

Makrolon® housing
is durable polycarbonate with NBR Long Life rubber armoring, creating a lightweight, rugged chassis that withstands 11 Gs of impact. Impervious to harsh conditions for generations of trusted use.
